The project is a renovation to an existing ’55 Mid-Century Modern in Ventura.  The project site is a corner lot with odd exterior spaces.  The interior renovation focused on a bedroom/bathroom addition with a gut of the rest of the existing space. The planning goals were to create a colorful interior with a beach-vibe for family, friends and rental.  The kitchen and living area have sloped ceilings with custom kitchen cabinetry and a new room divider replacing an outdated wood stove. On the exterior, new landscaping with concrete pavers and DG terrace was completed to replace aged concrete patios.  As a result, the interiors now focus on greenery with views of the exterior planting.
